A microwave and a meal magically appear!

On my way down to the hospital I get pulled over by a cop for speeding. Thankfully he let me go as I tell him that my husband is being transported to UCLA. Half way down and I learn however that his transport was delayed to the following day. It gave me time however to get settled in the airbnb I would be staying at. I remember walking in feeling so thankful and watched over, but the only thing missing I thought was a microwave. Of course I could manage as I knew I would be at the hospital most of the time. The next day however to my utter shock as my cousin and I were walking back to the Airbnb after seeing Tom was a microwave just sitting on the corner! Walking it into the apartment I was tearing up and laughing at the same time with an overwhelming sense of gratitude that through this all I will be taken care of too. We plugged it in and to our surprise there was 11 seconds on the clock!!! My cousin and I freaking out a bit, but also this feeling that this whole 11:11 thing and manifesting wishes is for real! I made this wish for a microwave and the universe knew I would need it in the coming weeks. And it did warm me up some amazing meals from another angel that I know crossed my path to take care of me.

The hospital food was actually amazing considering and I was always thankful for that time outside the hospital room to recharge. It was a Sunday and Tom and I had spent the day watching football. Both his STEELERS and my Cowboys won that day. It was the last happy memory I have of him and I together. He had been in bed for months now and I remember rubbing his feet and legs as they were swelling up, but I was weary too now after weeks in the hospital. I was hungry and needed a breath of fresh air. I go the cafeteria for dinner and I forgot they closed early on Sundays. My heart sank and my tummy grumbled. I know I would be fine not eating, so I went back up trying to rally my strength. I just wasn’t quite ready to go back into the room so I sat down next to the elevator with my head down. Two middle eastern men walk out and give me a nod. I smile the best I can but something must have prompted one of the gentlemen to come ask if I was ok. I shared with him about Tom fighting cancer and he shared that he was visiting his Uncle who had cancer as well . Then he asked if I was hungry. I told him I was, but the cafeteria was closed. He said wait here and I will be back in 30 minutes with a home cooked meal. I felt strangely comfortable with him, like he was an angel or at least someone sent from above to take care of me. He came back with the most amazing Iranian meal he had prepared for his family. I sat and ate it and I don’t think I will ever forget how amazing it all tasted, but more importantly it gave me the strength I needed to go back in and be with Tom as he was the one suffering more than anyone. The mans name was Salah and he continued to cook for me. Even the left overs were amazing and fortunately I had that microwave to heat them up.

My Magic Microwave appears on the street with 11 seconds on the clock when I plug it in!
Salah! My Iranian angel chef!

From the microwave to Salah and all our friends and family who would just happen to come when I needed them most, I can’t thank you all enough for coming along side me to help me as we got through this time. Whether it was a hug, some comedic relief, a break from the hospital, or sound medical advice and help, I can’t thank my “angels” enough!!

My angles who kept me laughing, let me cry and helped me through this time !
“I got this…with a little help from my friends”!!!
